Re-Reading Challenge ~ 2009...

With the New Year comes new book challenges. One that I've signed up for is Nath's Re-Reading Challenge. I was very happy to join in on this challenge because I have so many books that hold a special place in my heart. I'm also curious to find out if these books are still as wonderful as my sometimes fuzzy memory recalls them. Still need one for this month. Any suggestions?

Some potential re-reads are:

Roberta Gellis ~ A Woman's Estate
Linda Howard ~ Son of the Morning
Mary Balogh ~ A Summer to Remember
*One of my all-time favorite books*
Kathleen E. Woodiwiss ~ Shanna
LaVyrle Spencer ~ Morning Glory
Heather Graham Pozzessere ~ Dark Stranger, Rides a Hero or Apache Summer
Lisa Kleypas ~ Worth Any Price
*Absolutely LOVE Nick Gentry*
Johanna Lindsey ~ Angel or Tender is the Storm
Judith McNaught ~ A Kingdom of Dreams
Linda Lael Miller ~ Banner O'Brien
Susan Sizemore ~ The Price of Innocence

  1. I haven't read any of your favorites. I'm looking forward to your reviews for these books, maybe one of your re-reads will become a first time read for me.

  2. Oh man - LaVyrle Spencer! I used to nom nom her books like crazy! You just gave me a blog post idea lol.

I LOVE Nick Gentry too! One of my favorite Kleypas books.

I'm re-reading The Rowan by Anne McCaffrey. So far I'm enjoying it, but there are a few elements that are probably less appreciated than before.

  4. KMont ~ Me too with LaVyrle Spencer! I haven't read her in years.

I haven't read any of McCaffrey's but have heard they are very good. Are they strictly adult or ok for a teen? DD loves Mercedes Lackey so I think she might like McCaffrey.

  5. Leslie, I read or re-read 5 of those books this past year and enjoyed the heck out of myself. Enjoy, enjoy! I cannot wait to read what you have to say after re-reading Shanna by Woodwiss. I haven't read that in ages and although I loved it at the time, and through many re-reads, I don't know how I would like it or if I would enjoy it now.

  6. Hi Hils ~ Woodiwiss is one author that I used to LOVE. I haven't read her last few but I do remember loving Shanna. I just hope I still do. :)

  7. Every so often I MUST get out "The Windflower" by Sharon and Tom Curtis (writing as Laura London) and immerse myself in this wonderful story. This is one of my all-time favorites!

  8. Hi Lisa ~ I haven't read "The Windflower" but the book I'm reading now, "Morning Glory" is dedicated to Tom and Sharon Curtis. Small world.
